Terms of service

Last updated: September 28, 2026

These terms are an agreement between you (the business using Showupy) and Showupy, run from Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. By creating an account you agree to them. We've kept them short and in plain language.

1. The service

Showupy lets you record appointments and sends your customers email reminders they can confirm or cancel. We may improve or change features over time. If we remove something important, we'll tell you first.

2. Your account

  • Keep your password private. You're responsible for what happens in your account.
  • Give us accurate information, including a working email address.
  • One account per business.

3. Your customers

  • Only add people who have actually booked an appointment with you.
  • Don't use Showupy for advertising, promotions or anything other than appointment reminders.
  • Let your customers know you use Showupy for reminders, and handle their information as described in our privacy policy.

You're responsible for following the laws that apply to you, including Canada's anti-spam law (CASL) and privacy laws.

4. Price and payment

  • Founding members (the first 10 businesses) get the first 2 months free. After that, the price is $20 CAD per month, plus applicable taxes.
  • We'll tell you how to pay before your free period ends. You don't owe anything until then.
  • We'll give you at least 30 days' notice by email before changing the price.
  • No contract: you can cancel any time. We don't refund partial months.

5. Cancelling

Email hello@showupy.com to close your account. We delete your data as described in the privacy policy. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms, for example by sending spam, and we'll tell you why.

6. What we can and can't promise

We work hard to keep Showupy running and reminders arriving on time, but we can't guarantee that every email is delivered or read, or that customers show up. Emails can be delayed, filtered as spam or blocked by the customer's email provider.

To the extent the law allows, Showupy is provided “as is”, and our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. We aren't liable for lost income from missed appointments.

7. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. For important changes we'll email you at least 30 days before they take effect. If you keep using Showupy after that, the new terms apply.

8. Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there.
